The Second Year of Back-to-School Post-Pandemic

As the globe continues to manage the pandemic, schools and teachers are working with health organizations to prepare for a year of face-to-face learning. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, about 56.4 million children are enrolled in K-12 education. In 2018, the NCES recorded 3.3 million full-time and part-time public school teachers, 205,600 public charter school teachers, and 509,200 private school teachers. With the emergence of variants such as Delta, schools are challenged to employ the right cleaning solutions to minimize the spread of COVID, among other common viruses and bacteria.

While school is a place of learning and skill development, it’s also a hotspot for viruses and bacteria. Young children are oftentimes the main demographic to catch and spread illnesses, such as the common cold and strep.

To fully open the doors this upcoming back to school season, a new method of disinfecting must take place. The typical method of disinfecting surfaces is the spray and wipe method. While effective, this traditional approach to cleaning doesn’t address viruses and bacteria that are not just surface-borne but also air-borne.

Backed by microbiological testing, Paerosol’s Dry Spray Technology™ can be used to deploy a dry spray that disinfects all highly touched surfaces and airborne bacteria. This non-toxic solution kills air and surface-borne mold, bacteria, and viruses, even penetrating through fabrics, such as curtains, rugs, and bookbags at up to a 99.9999% rate of effectiveness.

The Dry Sprayer ™ can disinfect either small or large spaces, removing the tedious task of spraying and wiping each individual item and surface. Paerosol’s unit is easy to deploy by any cleaning professional without requiring specialized training.

“Our technology kills air and surface borne mold, bacteria, and viruses at such a high rate of effectiveness. We’ve conducted studies with schools and organizations during the pandemic. The results show that by consistently utilizing Paerosol’s technology, schools are able to reduce the spread of viruses impacting students and staff on the school campus,“ comments Steve Gareleck, CEO, Paerosol.
