Scott is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, who earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics and a Masters in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) at the University of Rochester. Scott started his career at Shepro-Braun Systems, where he ran both sales and consulting for the Company. After 5 years, he joined SS&C Technologies, where he was SVP and Managing Director of the Hedge Fund Software Division. He led the successful acquisition of his prior Company, Shepro-Braun by SS&C. Scott was then recruited as COO of Integrated Business Systems, a hedge fund software provider. Over a three (3) year period as COO, Scott managed the sales and project implementation teams, and help manage a sales transaction of the company to Sungard Financial Group, experiencing his first liquidity event.
Scott’s success at his first three companies drove him to start his own company, Paladyne Systems, an early cloud-based, enterprise software solution for hedge fund managers. Scott was the initial founder of the company, and as its President, he grew the business to over 300 employees and more than 350 hedge fund clients. Scott and his management team managed the sale of Paladyne to Broadridge Financial Services, a 2 Billion+ publically-traded company in excess of $100 million in transaction value, creating another larger liquidity event for him and his team.
Scott is a currently managing partner in Lake Avenue Ventures, a small venture capital fund with a portfolio of ten (10) early stage and post-revenue companies.
